Is the normaliz.dll stock or has that been cracked as well because running idndl.exe will also install that file.

Also, the iecustom.dll seems to be from a older build. Are there any instructions on what needs to be done to patch the iecustom.dll file since hex editing the 0F 95 to 0F 94 doesn't seem to work.

I did not use the normaliz.dll file and now my computer wont load the desktop so i cant use my computer. Any ideas how to resolve this.

I get an error with says explorer.exe cannot load as normaliz.dll is missing. try reinstalling and try again.

Having to use my work computer to type this, any help would be great.

When you get the blank desktop, hit Ctrl+Esc to bring up the start menu...goto the Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs...look for Windows Internet Explorer 7 and uninstall. It'll restore all your previous IE6 files. Reboot and walla! Be sure to use the normailz.dll file next time and it'll work like a charm.

sharky, when you see that blank screen, do this...

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc
Click on File > New Task
Type cmd > OK
type c:\windows\system32\appwiz.cpl

This probably works too...

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc
Click on File > New Task
Type appwiz.cpl > OK

Uninstall Windows Internet Explorer 7 then reboot and your computer should be back to normal.

Try installing IE7 with the crack again.

Hey Sharky I had the same problem as you. After my successfull IE7 install i forgot to add the Nomaliz.dll to the C:\windows\system32 folder and after reboot windows simply wouldn't load with the error message mentioning the missing file.
So I ran a search for Normaliz.dll on a friend's PC, to make sure it was copied only in one place. Then I had to remove my hard drive and install it in my friend's computer. Afterwards I simply copy/pasted the file to C:\windows\system32 and everything worked like a charm. Tabbed browsing is disabled taugh. Anyone know a fix for this please share

0. Get IE7 distributive:

1. Extract the distributive contents into any directory;
execute the distributive with "/x" parameter (without double quotes):
IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe /x
This is sfx-cab file.

2. Go to the ./update/ subdirectory of the extracted contents.

3. Open update.inf file with any text editor (notepad is appropriate);
find and cut out all the strings that contain "iecustom.dll" substring
(without double quotes).
There are just two such strings ("[Configuration]" section):
"CustomizationDLL = iecustom.dll"
"UninstallCustomizationDLL = update\iecustom.dll"
cut them out.
iecustom.dll library prevents IE7 installation by update.exe directly
and aslo calls that annoying WGA Validation
that is embedded inside of the distributive (legitlibm.dll).
And this patch disables iecustom.dll loading by update.exe.

4. Open update.exe file with any hex-editor (there are a lot);
modify the following bytes (HEX-ADDRESS: ORIGINAL_BYTE PATCHED_BYTE):
000497DA: 74 90
000497DB: 0A 90
000497E4: 75 EB
All the original bytes in your update.exe file must be exactly the same
as specified here.
This patch just disables the update.inf file integrity verification.

5. Run the following Pre-IE7 updates in the following order:
xmllitesetup.exe
nlsdl.exe
idndl.exe
Original IE7 installer (iesetup.exe) installs them in the specified order.
So you should install them in the same order just in case.
Then the original installer runs update.exe to install IE7.

6. Run IE7 installer:
update.exe
Reboot system as requested after this stage is complete.


P. S. Look out! THEY are watching us right now. THEY are everywhere...

It's not needful to copy normaliz.dll manually because it's a part of idndl.exe update that is installed among other Pre-IE7 updates. Moreover there is an older version of normaliz.dll inside of IE7_Final_WGA_Crack.zip than one provided with IE7 distributive...

One question. Don't you end up with a different IE if you replace iecustom.dll v.7.0.5730.11 with iecustom.dll v.7.0.5346.5? I would think you are going back to one of the original RC's.

To install IE7 Final,You must have Windows XP Service Pack-2 (SP2) in order to install Internet Explorer 7.0. But still you will face a problem while installing this new Internet Explorer if your copy of Windows XP is not a genuine (non-pirated) one, since IE 7.0 installation requires genuine windows validation!!! So what to do??? Don’t worry… There are some tricky steps through which you can install IE 7.0 even in your pirated copy of windows XP bypassing the genuine windows validation. You just have to follow the following steps one by one:

Download Internet Explorer 7.0 from the Microsoft site. You have to choose Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) as your operating system. Remember you can’t install IE 7.0 if service pack 2.0 is not installed in your operating system.
Extract the downloaded Internet Explorer setup file (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe) using WinRAR to a directory (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu).
Download the patched iecustom.dll and then copy-paste it to the update folder (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu\update\) and click yes when asked to overwrite.
Run ‘update.exe’ in the update folder (not iesetup.exe!!!). At the end, you have to choose ‘exit/finish without restart’ option to finish the running process of the exe file.

I don't think so. Its only work in XP service pack 2. But you can download your IE7 version from microsoft and try try it. But i am not sure.

1- I´ve recently updated ie6 to ie7 on my computer and all ran very well.
then I tried to update it on a second computer , ie7 has been installed succesfully but I´ve got a problem.
the right clickable area (underneath two buttons back,forward , address bar , refresh button , stop button live search ) is not available ;
it does not look like to act as a tab browser as well ;
is there a way to overcome this problem ?:

Ya, I have the same problem with "Access Denied" too. Have any idea to correct this? Or perhaps some of my software has to be shutdown first? I use tune up utilities 2006 & AVG Antivirus 7. XP has already in SP2.

0 Keep my current default search provider.
0 Let me select from a list of other search providers.
After choosing one option ,you should click save settings.After that it does not appear again.

I think RW, you have disabled tab browsing option. just check it in you 'internet option",if you do that,you have enable this tab browsing option. If you fail to do that ,then ou go to Advance tab and then click "Reset" on right bottom corner.

hi i downloaded every thing
but has a doubt can understand something
After step5:
Inside the update folder there is a file named iecustom.dll
Copy the patched iecustom.dll to the Update folder of the extracted IE7 setup file. Overwrite any existing file.
when u take iecustome from there (update)and then paste where ??????
and mopre over the file u r telling to run
the....update.exe
that file in my folder is showing as only update so when i click on that it is saying to click iesetup.exe
so plz help me with ur valueable guidence

concerning the part you are asking about after step 5:
you dont copy iecustom.dll from the update folder. you will have to copy it FROM the extracted crack folder TO the update folder and when it asks you if you wanna overwrite the existing file you say yes, then follow the rest of the steps

No, you take iecustom.dll from this file

which you downloaded from Step 3. You need to copy iecustom.dll and then paste it in the 'Update' folder and overwrite the existing file.

Why do u need all that crap to bypass windows genuine validaition???????
all you have to do is:
1-go to folder option and check "show hiden folders"
2-Then go to:
c:\\Documents and setting>All users>Aplication data>windows genuine advantege>data
3-delet the data.dat file
4-start any installation that recuires genuine check and it will work like nothing in this world is called genuine

After copying,save as WPA.reg and then save it any drive.Then d-click the file and click yes and ok.After that double click your IE7 Install file. and in validation process,click validate and it will validate automatically.Then go through the process.Remember your internet connection is stop.

Oh After i installed IE7 following the direction here i experienced a problem. the font quality is not good!!! The black is not real black, i see a mix of red and black. And it deem as well.

pd: even with spanish ie7 installer works fine, just REPLACE the iecustom.dll before the installation in UPDATE installer's folder and normaliz.dll after the installation in windows\system32 folder.

There seems to be a problem with the link for the WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe file as when I try to D/L it, a popup says file not found. Any ideas? Here is the URL:

Hi,
It's not working. (I Have win sp2, IE 6,..).
When I start update.exe, it start ok, but in finish I got message that it is not alowed acess to setup.exe , and then it cleaned everything, end restarted my computer.
Maybe I should deinstall my IE 6 before starting instalation of IE 7?

I get as far as step 6, click on update and get the following error message;
"setup has detected that the version of the service pack installed on your system is lower than what is necessary to apply this hotfix.
At minimum you must have Service Pack 2 installed."

Well I followed the instructions to the letter and everything went great.
I was taken to the "Please kiss MSs feet for providing security and privacy patches that were poorly written in the first place" page but not WGA or Activation?
I might try copying "normaliz.dll" before the reboot as it didn't exist already, to see how it goes next time but.
I have Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 Corporate Edition (Courtesy of SP1 splipstreamed to XP2 seems to ignore the whole invalid serial thing...)
an now i have ie7 (well to test with anyway...)
It worked for me......but aren't there better browsers anyway? bl1nky@hotmail.com.

I followed the instructions including copying normaliz.dll to c:/windows/system32. when i reboot i received the message "loading personal internet explorer settings" and the desktop icons never load. Had to uninstall IE7.
Everything back to normal. Where did i go wrong.

Save as: IE7wga.reg or Anything you want just make sure to include the .reg at the end of it.
Double Clik on it to add to the Registry; Now you have a valid Copy of Windows. It also works for windows updates just run the file before going to the Microsoft website.

and place in the update folder of ie7,and double click update .exe,there is no need to downlload
normaliz.dll or iecustom.dll

Hi Up graded to IE7 using this crack. All OK except now Outlook Express 6 will not let me log into hotmail (http email) contacted Hotmail who directed me to Microsoft.com site for a fix. The description sounded just what I needed. Unfortunatly it would not download due to WGA and my XP Pro is apparantly a copy!!. Any ideas? Thanks

taskmanager will pop up
then clik on new task button
and browse to system32 and find normaliz.dll if it is there your computer have another problem if it is not there copy normaliz.dll from your friends computer

I've a probleme, actually, i did a mistake : doubleclick on the IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe (so i suppose i've run the iesetup.exe).
And now, just before the ending, the installation crashes : with an Access denied messagebox.

jai ,its for u restart your system if it is windows xp press ctrl +alt+del it will open taskmaneger as you know then press the application tab on task maneger and click on the new task buttom and click the browse button
then navigate to where you saved normaliz.dll and right click on it and copy it from there and then navigate to "c:/windows/system32" and paste there and then restart your system
this will work excellent ;;;,

hey guys you also crack it if you have knowledge of visual studio just create a dll file from vs named as iecustom.dll the name is a case sensitive
just press build in vs copy it from project dir
and paste it in update folder of IE7 now before clicking to update.exe get a normaliz.dll you can get it from any other pc who is running genuine pc if any one want this send you mail to me i will give you to you free of cost both(iecustom.dll,normaliz.dll)
paste normaliz.dll to system32 and click to update.exe after all this process you have to restart your system thanks please wriet your comments

florin create a dll named as iecustom and from debug menu click on build and then close check where is you project folder and serch in for there iecustom.dll you created copy it and paste it to update folder of ie7
