    The problem with this is that the autor gave the wrong names, there's no "mpsetup.exe" file. And then, when you launch the application it gives you the message that we all know: The file wmplayer.exe has a version number of 11.0.5358.4827 where 10.0.0.3802 was expected

    So thank you for making me re-install WMP 10. Now, i have double work. Congrats!

    i did the same way i.e. i extracted the wmp11 file and then copied ligitlib.dll file but when i run the setup i says the same thing.

    plz tell me what can i do for it.

    Hey this is working
    all u guys need 2 do is download not the beta version but download the original version(go to a ddl site like phazeddl.com and search)
    then do the above process...

    hey guys i installed media player 11 copied the (cracked) legitlib.dll in the folder i extracted before with winrar but after the restart the player says ::wmplayer.exe has a version number of 11.0.5358.4827 where 10.0.0.3802 was expected

    what am i supposed to do now...?how can i get 11.

    Thanks.. it works!!!

    For those of you its not workings, rename the cracked legit file to LegitLibM.dll and then follow the instructions of replacing the orginal legit dll. It will work.

    Latest Release requires:
    LegitLibM.dll

    as opposed to legitlib.dll which is in the BETA - and the crack

    just right click on the exe of the installer, there is a option to extrack files....then copy the *.dll to the same folder.

    YOU CAN Install WMP11 Final WITHOUT ANY CRACK File.

    First you have to download WMP11 from Microsoft.

    To pass windows validation:

    1. Right click on wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe and extract it to any folder

    2. In folder you will seeWindowsXP-MSCompPackV1-x86.exe, wmp11.exe, wmfdist11.exe, umdf.exe and wmdbexport.exe install them

    3. Reboot

    4. Run any media player shortcut you have on your system...a screen will popup asking "express" or "custom"

    5. Choose custom and its smooth sailing from there.

    I did Those work and enjoying WMP11 features.

    If u fail first time,try second time and install those with wmpappcompat.exe and reboot. It have to work. In the second time it doesn't take any extra space in your c: drive. So don't worry about it.

    Download Windows Media Player 11.0 (make sure its the final and latest version, not beta) from the Microsoft Site. Alternatively, you can download the installer file directly from here. Remember you can’t install Windows Media Player 11.0 if service pack 2.0 is not installed in your operating system.


    Extract the downloaded Windows Media Player setup file (wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe) using WinRAR to a directory (wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu). Now make sure you have a “LegitLibM.dll” file in the extracted “wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu” folder.


    Download the patched LegitLibM.dll and then copy-paste it to the “wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu” folder and click yes when asked to overwrite.


    Now run “setup_wm.exe” file in the “wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu” folder.

    hey i got the solution,
    guys, if anybody got problem, that damaged windows media player 11 Installation. or Getting some dll missing when the WMP associate file play Do this;

    [1]Download WMP11 from here:

    [2]Download this File from here:
    http://www.uploading.com/files/8810NQ2R/LegitLi...

    [3]Use winRAR to Extract the WMP11 to a folder

    [4]Extract and copy the file LegitLibM.dll to the WMP11 Folder (step 3rd u extracted place)

    [5]you will asked to replace with 401Kb file instead of 400KB

    [6]Now Run the Setup_wm.exe

    [7]Enjoy :)>-

    I was keep trying by my self to recover and install WMP11, finaly this method work out.
    the above process can be workout sometime, if its happend, let me know, ill give the other process with registry edit

    Try to download the wmp11 bypass wga using 7-zip
    to extract the appropriate files throughout all
    the steps. works to a certain extent because right now i don't have the same error message
    cropping up when i try to open the wmp11 software
    except that: MICROSOFT WINDOWS STILL WANT TO
    VALIDATE THAT THE COPY OF WINDOW SOFTWARE IS
    LEGIT. Can't seem to get around that bypass, thanks anyway it's a good solution but not entire.

    I Did this too,
    Go to Registry Editor,
    And Search "WMP11"
    And Delete everything u find, but u take a whole registry back up first.

    after that follow the way, i have mentioned.

    It doesn't work at all also after copying the legitLibM.dll file with the original one. The validation process cancels but when it starts to migrate, a messege appears that Windows Update requires. So its true that it does not work at all.
