UPDATE: Install Internet Explorer 7 Final bypassing WGA validation
Dont own a genuing copy of Windows XP? Still want to install Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 (Internet Explorer 7 Build 5299 or Beta 2 Preview)

    Hey Guys, I had a odd problem I downloaded a the dll and patched the file. But than when i ran update.exe. an error box came up saying "Internet Explorer Setup cancled". Any Ideas? Thanks heaps

    Just want to say, it works for the final beta 2, but the tab bar is broken. :( Gotta wait for a new patch, I guess.

    i would love to find some permanent method to bypass DRM for all applications that try to acquire license including real rhapsody, tunebyte, etc.

    any solution for that? it primarily needs WGA cracked that's the key factor.

    Yeh, the tab bar is totally not working. The tabs work but you just cant access them through the tab bar. You need to use shortcuts :( Is this the case just for the cracked version or the genuinne thing as well?

    i have succesfully installed internet explorer 7.0 beta 2 by your method but there are some malfunctioning in it , for instance there are no tabs displayed while browsing .......... how to correct this problem?

    To get the tabs working again, just run 'xmllitesetup.exe' from the update folder. This installs the missing .dll file and the tabs miraculously return :).

    Hi, i got a prob, i downloaded the same IE beta 2 as u from that link, and when i right click and add to winrar or wotever.. there is no update just the 1 single .exe .. mhmm..?

    wait, no i did it wrong haha.. i never went to open with winrar, but i hav yet another problem :( i downloaded the iecustom.dll and double clicked the update.exe but was still sayin my thing wasn't valid. :(

    nm sorted it.. restarted pc after instalation, but when i come back on and double cliked IE it just closed itself really fast. .... help lol

    I installed IE7 without validation by replacing the IECUSTIOM file and it works great. Also did the trick with the WMP11 and it also works great. I have read where some people were haiving problems with this. I just dont see how, as long as they are following the directions.

    I have noticed that you will need to get the IECUSTOM file from a reputable source. NOT p2p. There are alot of versions of it out there, but only the real one works correctly.

    IE7 Final updates :P

    1) Do the suggested work-around on top (replace the iecustom.dll)

    2) Run update.exe

    3) After finishin the validation, before continuing, rename the patched iecustom.dll to iecustom.dll.bak and copy back the original iecustom.dll into the update folder

    4) Continue the setup then reboot

    Enjoy...

    Warning: Don't try this method with the FINAL version of IE7. It will not work and you will get a very big headache and you will need to uninstall IE7 to fix the problem. To uninstall IE7, you have to open "Add or Remove Programs" from the DOS prompt because the Explorer process is already "dead."

    just one question i noticed my taskbar to lose its menu bar. it look something like this:

    i had a terrible error, after following the instruction on the top, after restarting 'explorer.exe' couldnt start cuz the file 'normaliz.dll' was missing, what i did was, executing the command line, "run: cmd" and then through a usb drive i copied the 'normaliz.dll' to the 'windows\system32\' folder which i got online from other pc,, and voila,, ie7 werkin properly,, peas

    To install IE7,You must have Windows XP Service Pack-2 (SP2) in order to install Internet Explorer 7.0. But still you will face a problem while installing this new Internet Explorer if your copy of Windows XP is not a genuine (non-pirated) one, since IE 7.0 installation requires genuine windows validation!!! So what to do??? Don’t worry… There are some tricky steps through which you can install IE 7.0 even in your pirated copy of windows XP bypassing the genuine windows validation. You just have to follow the following steps one by one:

    Download Internet Explorer 7.0 from the Microsoft site. You have to choose Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) as your operating system. Remember you can’t install IE 7.0 if service pack 2.0 is not installed in your operating system.
    Extract the downloaded Internet Explorer setup file (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe) using WinRAR to a directory (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu).
    Download the patched iecustom.dll and then copy-paste it to the update folder (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu\update\) and click yes when asked to overwrite.
    Run ‘update.exe’ in the update folder (not iesetup.exe!!!). At the end, you have to choose ‘exit/finish without restart’ option to finish the running process of the exe file.
    Download normaliz.dll and then copy-paste it to “c:\windows\system32\” directory (in order to prevent problems with the file not being found after the installation). And then reboot/restart your pc.
    After rebooting your pc, you may face a problem with a file called normaliz.dll that can not be found by explorer.exe. If you’re having this problem, you will find your desktop blank.(If you are not facing this problem then just go to step 7) In order to fix this problem, you have to do the following things one by one:
    Press ctrl-alt-del to go to the task manager.
    Go to “File -> Run” in the task manager.
    Type: ‘cmd’ and push enter. The command prompt window will appear.
    Type:
    ‘copy c:\normaliz.dll c:\windows\system32\normaliz.dll’
    - in the command prompt window and push enter.
    Reboot your pc and yahoo!!! now you can see your desktop contents!!!.
    Now you have to run ‘xmllitesetup.exe’ in the update folder.
    Then reboot your pc again, run Internet Explorer…and you are done!!!

    thnkx to rhaman....for giving his tips to download IE7..working well super...juzt follow the step..for your safe..download first the two files...1.)iecustom.dll and normaliz.dll..if ever you incounter normaliz.dll is missing...if you counter the blank screen press ctrl+alt+del, for the task manager..then run new task..run system restore..located at c:\windows\system32\srtrui..
    to restore your original setup...thnkx ..it really works..

    I had the same problem as kryst go back to your update folder you downloaded earlier and open; xmllitesetup.exe then launch your IE7 browser then re-start computer, worked fr me!

    Hey Jess,
    Its ok if you don't have a genuine Windows XP copy. What you basically need for IE7 is ServicePack 2. Visit www.soft32.com and download the service pack 2. Once you have successfully upgraded to SP2 you can then download the IE7 setup file from the same site or from www.filehippo.com. You can then apply the cracked or patched file and install IE7

    and place it in extracted update folder and replace it
    run 3 to 4 time update.exe and check normaliz.dll
    is in system32 if yes than
    run the update.exe full

    thats the amrish is for india and for the nicrosoft
