Error 81000306: MSN Messenger Sign-In Error Code 81000306 Fix

Getting error code 81000306 while trying to sign-in on MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger?
Here is how the error report looks like:

To solve the error follow the following steps:



1. Go to Start > Run

2. Type the following:

    I did the given instructions but it comes back and tells me when I click on ok that it cannot find this Regsvr32Siftpub.dllMssip32.dllInitpki.all we have tried to do everything ... Please help us out or we will b changeing to a diffent site and not using msn any longer !!!!!

    I tried it too but it still hasn't fixed my error. I had this problem on another laptop and had to run several commands all ending in .dll one after the other - there were more entries to run than yours - my problem is I cannot find that website again.....this is so annoying!!!

    i tried to follow your instructions but lastly it gives me a note that dllregisterserver in softpub.dllsucceeded followed by dllregisterserver in Mssip32.dll succeeded and lastly it says the module initpki.dll failed to load,I dont know what to do.

    Does not work. Does not seem to have worked for anyone posting here. Thanks so much for nothing. Perhaps you could include a link here to a solution that actually fixes the problem. That might be helpful. Please consider it.

    regsvr32 Softpub.dll Mssip32.dll Initpki.dll didn't work. Can you tell me why. The TroubleShoot tool find no errors and shows all test results OK.

    respected sir i tried my best to log on through hotmail messenger but it could not establish bcs it say that u r not connected but i tryied my best i conected again again but failed plz solved my problem my password is sultania

    I get a

    initpki.dll failed to load.
    make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent.dll files.


    I have no clue what that means or what I can do to fix it..any ideas?

    This is the THIRD time this 'cure' has been sent to me. Yo folks, it didn't work in March, what makes you think it will work now?! And what's with all these 'ads by goofy"? I 'thought' this site was for 'fix'n problems, NOT 'goofy' ads. TOTAL disappointment.

    This is now the FOURTH time this same ‘cure’ has been sent to me. Yo folks, it didn’t work in March,September, November and now December what makes you think it works?! And what’s with all these ‘ads by goofy”? I ‘thought’ this site was for ‘fix’n problems, NOT ‘goofy’ ads. Still ... a TOTAL disappointment.

    XP:

    Step 1:

    Please click on Start, Click on Run and type the following in the open box and click OK

    ipconfig/flushdns

    Step 2:


    Please click on Start, Click on Run and type the following in the open box and click OK

    netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt


    Step 3: Reset Winsock:

    Please click on Start, Click on Run and type the following in the open box and click OK

    netsh winsock reset

    Step 4:

    Please click on Start, Click on Run and type the following in the open box and click OK

    ipconfig /registerdns


    If Vista, please try this steps:

    - Click start
    - Type: cmd
    - Right-click cmd.exe when it appears under Applications
    - Click Run As Administrator
    - Type the following: netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
    - Press enter
    - Restart your computer

    You may also try:

    Start Messenger.
    On the Tools menu, click Options.
    Under Connection, click Advanced Settings.
    Delete the entries under SOCKS.
    Click OK, and then click OK again.

    That last one worked for me, but it is a bit unclear, all I did was go to RUN and then copy and paste in netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled and press OK (with Administrator privileges,
    Just hit Sign In again and it works!!! Didn't even need a restart.

    Thank you, worked perfectly, and people that are cursing all the time, the error messages can be caused for many reasons, so this is a fix to ONE of the reasons. So I suggest you stfu.

    at first it didnt work.....but then a few mins later it poped up again sayin it wa workin...tried msn and it worked!....cheers this :)

    after 3hrs or tryin lol y dint sum1 think of this in 1st place!

    ya i tryed this step didnt work still doing the same thing... iv been on every help site i could find in the last couple hours and tryed everything it asked me to do but yet nothing has helped can some one plz lend a hand lol

    it works. You shall paste the command and run it. but don't forget exit your live messenger. After 3 prompt pop-up windows which say the 3 dlls are registered successfully, then you run messenger again. It does work.
